Safari Glamping Wedding Editorial
We created a modern glamping editorial to honor the lively atmosphere of the Safari Park's newest grasslands venue, African Plains Overlook! This was a great opportunity for us to showcase a modern and elegant wedding inspiration among the natural beauty of the safari grasslands. We chose to shy away from traditional zoo themes or utilizing any animal objects as a courtesy to the wildlife and focus our attention on the bare bonse of why the Safari is so eclectic, playful, and beautiful. The most important design element was melding a variety of patterns, texture, and the color palette of the natural grasslands. The color palette is warm, reflecting the sunset with tones of amber, burnt orange, brown, ivory, and pops of indigo.
To Be Designed enhanced the vision by creating this really lovely juxtaposition of furniture combinations and organic textures and patterns with woven blankets, wicker furniture, and heavy and light fabrics balanced with heavier elements like the iron candelabras and black trunks. We also chose to not over-floralize the space, so Blooms By Breesa Lee incorporated more decor than florals which is a breath of fresh air when it comes to wedding design! It was designed to feel homey and relaxed...the ultimate glamping goes wedding experience. To round out the design, Design by Laney customized our stationery with maps, hand lettered invitations, and wax seals. It adds a sense of elegance to the wildness of the atmosphere. We threw in some bohemian vibes of that which you would naturally find at a safari camp. I personally love the canvas tents, mismatching ceremony decor, and relaxed lounge which all give this shoot so much character. Styling our bride with a custom NEWhite Gown and modern jewelry and of our groom with a burgundy suit by Friar Tux really played up the playful and eclectic nature of the surroundings.
The goal was to remind couples that they don't have to compromise their elegant vision even when choosing a fun and out of the box venue! Shout out to a dream team of vendors who put on such a killer shoot! You can also now see this inspiration shoot featured on Ruffled Blog.
