Rustic Glam Wedding : Junipero Serra Museum
I connected with Erin and Jeff the moment that we met. At that time, I was still managing events for the Junipero Serra Museum and was actually the one who "sold" the venue to them for their wedding! When I decided to go full time with my own business two years ago, Erin immediately contacted me asking me to plan her wedding now that it was no longer a conflict of interest. I jumped at the opportunity--I had already know Erin and Jeff quite well, the sweet and humble souls they are, and I knew the Serra Museum like the back of my hand.
I loved that Erin and Jeff were really into playing up the historic museum's 1920s Spanish look with pops of vintage glamour. Although the museum is nestled the top of Presidio Park overlooking Old Town and the Pacific Ocean, it is quite secluded and intimate. Creating intimacy was a huge factor for Erin and Jeff as they wanted a truly personalized and comfortable experience for their guests. We incorporated cozy lounges and personalized place settings for their 60 guests while using a lot of raw textures, natural and contrasting bright hues, and pops of brass and gold to play up the 1920s glam look.
If I give credit anywhere, it is to the dream team that made Erin & Jeff's day so seamless and perfect. It makes all the difference when you work with a team that you have pre-existing great relationships with and can trust to make your client's wedding day their best day ever.
