Everyone always hears the same date night ideas…. fancy dinner, picnic on the beach, go to an amusement park, go for a hike… um, there's so much more than that! We're sharing five fresh, fun, and flirty unforgettable summer date night ideas. Do one or all five, mix and match ideas, whatever you want to create some pretty rad new dates for your honey.

Create your own drive-in movie

Everyone loves movies so why not create your own drive-in movie! Take your other half out of the city and bring some movies, snacks and your laptop. You can put the front seats down in your car and set up your laptop for a night away from it all....privately, in the woods, desert, wherever. After you’re done, you can  stargaze with a snuggly blanket! Sounds like a perfect and romantic summer night to us!

DIY Projects

There are so many fun and easy DIY video tutorials out there. Check out Buzzfeed Nifty,  Popsugar DIY, or good ol’ Pinterest, for starters. Working on a DIY project is a great way to bond, talk about a lot of random stuff for hours, and ultimately... spend quality time together while doing something productive. Plus, you can learn a lot about someone seeing them in action! Whether decorating your home together, creating something sentimental, or just getting weird and creative, find a project that you both will enjoy and get to work!

Take a class together

This is my favorite. Not only do you get to try something new, but you get to experience how your partner acts trying new things as well! This is also very broad so you can decide what is best for your relationship. You can take a dance class, a cooking class, a drinking class (yes, there are those, too), or whatever suits you! Feel free to sign up at a local university, your local recreation cente,  or create your own class in which you can teach your partner one of your strengths. Learning new skills is fun and the knowledge you gain will help make your relationship stronger!

Revisit your Childhood Memories

Thinking back to when I was younger, there is nothing I loved more than swinging on a playground and playing hopscotch on the blacktop. What better way to reminisce with your partner then to go back to the playground, beach, or any special place in your heart and share childhood memories.  Talk about your first kiss, elementary school teachers, and your favorite after school hobbies. Getting to share more about your childhood will allow your partner to open up and for the two of you to grow closer in your relationship.

Board Game Night!

Grab the blankets and cozy up for a couple’s night in. Board Game Night doesn't have to be for big social gatherings. Wine and Hedbandz  or beer and Speak Out, whatever you guys want! It’s great to get a little competitive, let loose, and be silly with a person you’re comfortable with. Have fun, laugh until you cry, and just keep it fun and casual! Don't forget the wine!

No matter what your date night entails, spending time with your honey is good for the soul and your relationship.  Appreciate the time you have as another opportunity to learn more about your relationship and see how your personalities mesh. Remember to have fun and be flirty, we guarantee it will be an unforgettable summer night!
